Meandro Merodeo

Nadie Nunca Nada No (Madrid)

2022

Meandro Merodeo is a cycle of exhibitions and performances that proposes an experiential and fantastical approach to the exhibition space. Throughout January 2022, Juliette Lizotte, Ewa Poniatowska & Sanna Helena Berger, and Álvaro Chior each presented their work, conceived specifically for Nadie Nunca Nada No. Like an adventure, each proposal emphasises a relationship of observation and exploration between artwork, space, and audience. Speculative fiction, therefore, not only underpins the artists’ creative processes but also shapes the way they articulate and present themselves.

The three proposals are designed to be felt and lived by the audience, seeking to generate the right scenarios for them to embody the characters, plots, places, or temporalities proposed by each artist. Like streams meandering through a landscape, carrying their course into different tributaries, each proposal manifests a sense of interdependence between work and space, channelling a series of stories, memories, and reflections that challenge the temporal conventions of the exhibition. They not only sidestep a linear temporality, or the arrow-that-kills-time as Ursula K. Le Guin puts it, but also make visible an interdependent relationship between beings, objects and spaces, human and non-human alike.
