Juliette Lizotte’s work experiments with roleplay as a strategy to make visible the bonds between artwork and audience. Drawing on forms inherited from role-playing games or choose-your-own-adventure books, Juliette creates performances, videos and texts in which visitors can make decisions that shape certain dynamics of the narrative.
In Sisters of the Wind, Lizotte offers this approach to roleplay as an artistic strategy, inviting the audience to become a community of witches who must survive in a society marked by a devastating natural catastrophe.
Sisters of the Wind has received support from the international collaboration grant of Stimuleringfonds.
Performers: Juliette Lizotte, Annabel Reid and Ainhoa Hernández Escudero.
Graphic design: Pablo Bonelli.
Documentation: Saleth Carrión and Pablo Bonelli.
